CPC Training ( Needed to become Professional LGV/PCV Driver) Since September 2009
CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is needed by all LGV/PCV drivers. There are two different types of CPC’s; Initial CPC and Periodic CPC.
What is the Periodic CPC?
Periodic CPC is for drivers who passed the CAR/PCV/LGV Before January 1997 and Before September 2009.
All drivers must complete 35 hours classroom-based training which we conduct on site, with no exam at the end of the course. This is a continuous training course which should be completed every 5 years. The driver must attend a classroom for 7 hours within one day.
We hold two different training opportunities for our drivers; Week Courses and Weekend Courses.
- The week course consists of the whole 35 hours spread over 5 days (7 hours per day). On the last day, the Certificates will be uploaded and drivers do not have to take the course again for 5 years.
- The weekend course consists of one module (one day, 7 hours). This course is for anyone who would like to spread the course out over a period of time instead of doing the full 35 hours within one week.
